Our tastes run to the not-to-fancy, but Incline has quite a number of finer restaurants. The recommendations below are for places where we actually go to eat, so they favor the simple. Be sure to grab a local restaurant guide from the bins in from of Raley's to get an idea of the full spectrum of choices available . . . not just what we like!
If you're going out for breakfast, this is one of your few good choices in town. Located on Highway 28 (Tahoe Blvd.) near Porters (a good place to rent skis, by the way). Across the street from the Christmas Tree Village shopping area.
Pick up an Entenmann's or some bagels from the bakery and a latte from the cafe and you're set. Raley's is located in the shopping center at the northeast corner of the intersection of Highway 28 (Tahoe Blvd.) and Village Boulevard. Ace Hardware, Video Maniacs (video rental) and Azarra's Italian restaurant share this corner with a number of other retail stores. On the southeast corner of this intersection is the movie theater and T's Rotisserie, our favorite place for a quick lunch or dinner.
The place to go for a quick chicken burrito or plate of tri tip. Order, find a seat yourself after filling up your drink at the self serve beverage bar. Then go next door to catch a movie at Incline's only movie theater.
Located in the Christmas Tree Village just west of Raley's on Highway 28. The shakes are tasty.
Austin's has a wide variety of food with a Tex-Mex focus. Service can be slow when things get crowded. Austin's is located on Country Club Blvd. near the Incline Hyatt.
This popular spot with a homey lodge feel is located right on the Lake. It is owned and managed by the Incline Hyatt, located just across the street.
Come early so you can sit out on the deck with great views of the Lake. This one is located right near Diamond Peak Ski Area off Country Club. Be sure to hike down to the creek after dinner.
Conveniently located in the Raley's shopping center near the hardware store, the food and service are generally good and not too expensive.
A very popular local hangout with a busy bar too. Across the street from Raley's on Highway 28.
They have sopapillas. In the Ralay's shopping center, but a bit hard to find. Use the store directory to guide you.
In the Christmas Tree Village shopping area off Highway 28 (Tahoe Blvd.)
A little more upscale, for the California Pizza Kitchen crowd. Located near Austin's, down by the Incline Hyatt on Country Club. Like all the other restaurants down by the Hyatt, this is not walking distance from the guest house.
