Airport Karma

Sitting at the gate, waiting for the boarding call, I hear my name paged over the airport intercom. Something amiss with my checked luggage, perhaps? I am grasping at straws to think why I would be paged. I come to the counter and they inform me the flight is delayed two hours. Why call me by name if the whole flight is delayed? Because it traces back to a cascade of ATC time slot shifts due ultimately to bad weather somewhere completely unrelated, and so everyone's connecting flights from Atlanta are also delayed--except mine. I am apparently the only one on the flight transferring to Los Angeles, and the plane to Los Angeles is the only connecting flight not delayed enough to still make. So I get to try again tomorrow.
